Programs
- Mobile Repair Clinics:
A couple times a month, we wheel the shop to one lucky local community.
- Contact us to schedule events in your neighborhood.
- Earn-A-Bike:
This gets a person a free bike for themself, enough knowledge to keep it running, and often-times a bit more. - Kid-A-Bike:
Sometimes bikes lose or get out-grown by their kids. We often have a good supply of 20-inch or smaller (non-BMX), but not enough manpower to guide the very young ones in repair (nor do they have the patience ;-).- Pick one out (a bike, not a kid), get your name in our books, and then it's yours to enjoy;
we'll help you get it set up. - Volunteer your time:
Help others build bikes, and to help us organize and store parts in our shop. First read our shop guidelines to get a handle on our procedures. And please note: this is a community effort, and we need your help on many tasks, but we kindly ask that you refrain from directing others in build-n-repair tasks here until we familiarize you with appropriate methods.
- Women and Trans Folks Bike Night:
-
Every third Tuesday of the month, 6pm-9pm
- Roadmaster™ Repurposing:
We have many parts available from damaged bikes. We encourage artisans, welding artists, tinkerers, human-powered vehicle or alternative energy experimenters to exploit our blue bin for frame parts, cranks, rims and bearings that are otherwise destined for metal recycling. - Donate your bike,
so that it is recycled to its highest purpose rather than buried in a landfill.- Donations are tax-deductable.
