Our urgent needs right now are for adult road bikes, bike locks, and bike lights.
Hope everyone is having a good summer, we here at 1304 have been extremely busy. June and July have been our busiest months since we started the Adult Earn-a-Bike Program in August. Thanks to everyone that came out to July Critical Mass. It was the biggest ride we've had this year with over 30 folks. Maybe in August when all the college kids are back we can get it up over 40!

Someone in our neighborhood had their bike stolen, so I've attached a flier that was made up to help try to locate. If you see the bike, please demand that whoever is riding it give it back, and tell them where they can come to get a free bike (for a little volunteer time of course).

Alright, and now on to some upcoming events:
This Friday (08/01)
is First Friday, and that means Bike First Friday. Meet at the NCSU belltower @ 7pm, and then ride en masse to all the local art galleries.
Saturday (08/02)
we'll be leading a bike ride to the Colony Theatre to see Eraserhead. Eraserhead was director David Lynch's first (and possibly best) film. We're meeting at the Church at Five Points (intersection of Glenwood Ave. and Whitaker Mill Rd.) at 11pm and leaving by 11:15pm. The movie starts at midnight. Please bring lights as we'll be riding in the dark.
Also, Tuesday August 26th
is the second City of Raleigh Bicycle Planning Workshop. It runs from 4-7pm at the Sertoma Arts Center on Millbrook Rd., conveniently located in North Raleigh.
That's all for now, and we may send out reminders as the events get closer, or as more bike events get planned.
